I have to start somewhere, don't I?
Geographically, I was born in Baltimore, educated in West Virginia, travelled with the Navy to Alexandria, Bremerhaven, Brest, Boston, Edinborough, London, Mallorca, Naples, and Puerto Rico, not necessarily in that order. Leaving the flying Navy, I trained in San Diego, California, and Chapel Hill, North Carolina and practiced as a women's health superspecialist in Washington, San Antonio and Corpus Christi, where I currently reside.
My interests outside of Medicine are listed here somewhere, varied because I've never gotten tired of learning about new things. Often, including many of these, I've learned by immersion, reading everything I could find (within reason) until I achieved a reasonable level of understanding, probably benefited by my OC personality, and then brushing up from time to time ... when my interest and discressionary time permitted ... to maintain my fluency.
I plan to develop the Womens Health theme as an attached but separate blog, and developing this one to showcase a variety the variety of activities and hobbies I've come to enjoy.
